Confucius

“A man should demand much from himself, but little from others.” “When you meet a man of worth, think how you may attain his excellence. When you meet an unworthy one, then look within and examine yourself.

~Confucius

“The superior man thinks always of virtue; the common man thinks of comfort.”

  • To do what is comfortable will not allow you to grow. To think always of bettering oneself is the only path to success.

“The superior man is distressed by the limitations of his ability; he is not distressed by the fact that men do not recognize the ability that he has.”

  • To feel the inner emotion of self-limitation should be the only weight you decide to feel in order to spark character development.

“To be wronged is nothing unless you continue to remember it.”

  • One can only be offended if the receiver takes the words said to them, offensively. Do not allow what others do, dictate your own responses to their actions or inactions.

“By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.”

  • Life has many different paths to choose from and each path you will learn lessons differently; however, it is your duty to choose the path you wish to walk, no one else’s.
